Come and Have Tea with Abigail Adams
Hosted by the Dighton Historical Society

Oct 1, 2017

at Friendship Hall
2036 Elm Street, Dighton, MA

Abigail Adams was our second first lady, wife of President John Adams and the mother of John Quincy Adams, our sixth president.

She was also way ahead of her time, doing many things women were not “allowed” to do.

She ran their farm and added land to it while her husband was away. She was his eyes and ears politically and gave him her counsel. She believed in women”s rights and freedom for slaves. She was brilliant and even put Thomas Jefferson in his place.

Come and listen to “her” on Sunday, October 1st, from 2 to 4 PM. Have some tea and treats and she’ll tell you all about her life.

Admission is $7.00 per adult (ages 8 & up)

Restoration of the Dighton Historical Society Museum

As the work begins on the rehabilitation of the Dighton Historical Society’s Winslow-Davis house, on behalf of our members, I would like to thank the residents of Dighton for their recent approval at town meeting of the CPC funds that have made this possible.

We will continue to update you on the progress, and look forward to once again becoming a viable asset to the town.
